Cotton Prices Further Declining (Statistical Report)

3 April 2008- Cotton prices heavily fell below 70 cents on Monday in New York, triggering some strong demand from Asian buyers on Tuesday. After a small rally, prices however declined on Wednesday, indicating than spinners are only ordering for short-term needs, expecting lower price levels in the near term. Speculative buying may however rebound on commodity markets.
